What is Behavior (ABA) Therapy?

“Applied Behavior Analysis is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that interventions employed are responsible for the improvement of behavior.”  (Baer, Wolf, & Risley, 1968).  Our ABA therapy program can be very beneficial to your child.  The process begins with an evaluation, which includes family concerns.  This comprehensive assessment will determine specific areas of difficulty for the child.  After the initial evaluation, goals will then be created to help your child reach his/her full potential. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) aims to improve socially significant and functional behaviors by using intensive behavior interventions that are based upon the scientific principles of behavior and learning that have been evaluated in experiments using reliable and objective data collection.

Our Team of skilled therapists will work directly with your child, your child’s teacher, and any other caregivers, to provide training and education, specific strategies and techniques, and a global support system that will ensure a positive outcome.  Our priority is to help each family feel confident in implementing intervention strategies that will  establish a lifelong positive change for their family dynamic.
